FMPA16 "Crashing" on Quit

Stephen Wonfor-3
Hi

FMPA16 in OSX 10.11.6.  Very frequently when ⌘Q I will get all the files closing, then, at the last possible moment, I get the Crash window.  Is it just me?

I have not experienced this. What plugins do you have installed?

I had that too, don’t recall how I got rid of it. I may have uninstalled & reinstalled.

Try uninstalling all the plugins and see if it continues.

I’ll bet it’s one of the plugins needing to be updated. In my experience, the most common cause of FMP crashing on quit is a plugin that doesn’t clean up its memory properly. Note that even a disabled plugin can still crash FMP.

 Hi Stephen -

Here is your list of plug-ins:

> 2empowerFM Clipboard Explorer v2.63;2.6300.2.0;Enabled
> 2empowerFM Developer Assistant v3.2 Beta;3.2000.2.1;Enabled
> 2empowerFM Hands-Free Printer v3.5;3.5000.2.1;Enabled
> 2empowerFM Parent v2.57;2.5700.2.0;Enabled
> 360Works Email;2.17;Enabled
> 360Works FTPeek;1.67;Enabled
> 360Works Plastic;3.02;Enabled
> BaseElements;3.2;Enabled
> MBS Plug-In;7.2.0.07;Enabled
> myFMbutler DoSQL;2.0.0.25;Disabled
> Troi Encryptor Plug-In;3.5;Enabled
> Troi File Plug-In;8.6.1;Enabled
> Troi URL Plug-In;4.1;Enabled

I know for a fact that:

360Works Email is up to version 3.02
360Works FTPeek is up to version 2.02
BaseElements is up to version 3.3.4
Troi Encryptor is up to version 3.5
Troi File is up to version 9.0
Troi URL is up to version 4.5

My bet is that the older plug-ins are causing the issue. And I don’t know if the DoSQL plug-in is verified to work with FileMaker 16.

Best to get (download) the latest versions, remove ALL your plug-ins, then test them one at a time.

Thanks,
